“On Gustavo’s Farm” is the absolutely true story of Gustavo the Goose and HausBar Farm in Austin, Texas. Although Gustavo doesn’t actually speak English, I hear his voice very clearly in my head every day as he runs things on his farm. I am lucky enough to be able to speak Goose so that I can translate for him. It’s how I came to be his co-author, and tell you his story.
All of the paintings in the book came from photos that his Grandmother (my mother) Barbara Adams and I took over the last three years. Grandmom painstakingly painted our favorites to illustrate Gustavo’s book.
